We're a family based Up North in Michigan, and this brand comes from actually living that life, the drive north, the cabin, the seasons that tell you when it's time to go. We didn't build Brook & Pine to sell a lifestyle we admire from a distance. We built it because we already live it.
Our name carries the story, if you know how to read it. Long before Michigan had an auto industry, it had white pine, forests that built the region's early economy and the towns still standing on it today. The brooks and rivers carried that timber south, the same water that still runs through this region now. What grew out of that history outlasted the industry itself: cabins passed down through families, deer camp traditions, the ritual of the drive itself. Brook & Pine carries that forward, not reenacting the past, just made for the same reasons people have gone north for a hundred and fifty years.
This isn't really about the shirt. It's about the truck loaded up before sunrise. The first exhale past the last stoplight. The smell of a cabin that's been closed up all winter. The traditions nobody had to explain to you, because you grew up inside them. We just wanted to put a name on that feeling, and make something worth wearing on the way there.
Every design starts with something real, a real place, a real ritual, a real piece of this region's history, not an idea we made up because it looked good on a shirt. Soft, well-made fabric, built to hold up to an actual season Up North, not just a photo shoot.
